Petrina Akor is a Ghanian Canadian who moved to Canada for a better life from Europe and has learnt how to transition into the Canadian culture and discover what hiring managers and recruiters are looking for in Candidates.
It might surprise you to note it might not be your certificates but a little ingredient that you already have. You just need to discover it and it will make a big impact.

That is a great question. She is a Business Analyst/Scrum Master who has worked with amazing organizations such as Nexen, BlackBerry, Oxfam GB, for over 11 years within various industries such as, Telecommunications, Oil and Gas, Humanitarian to Agricultural and Education.
Petrina discovered through training over 1000 new immigrants as a lead facilitator at Heels and Tech from 2020-Present that the biggest challenge they have is translating their learning into concrete stories that they can communicate their value with their years of experience to land their role.
This led her to create an easy 5 step process that helps job seekers identify their strengths, goals and leverage their past experiences to show why they are the perfect candidate for the role.
As a Career coach at Jayjom GSI, Petrina works with clients in a group setting to learn what hiring managers are looking for and how to package themselves into the ideal client and be selected to move through the process from Job seekers to Job offer.
Petrina Akor has helped countless job seekers go from stuck and frustrated to Confident and excited to get interviews and negotiate their desired dream salary.

Petrina has lived in multiple countries and had to learn how to adapt to the culture, norms and learn how to survive from Europe(Uk,Cyprus, Sweden), West Africa (Ghana) and now finally Canada where she has lived for over 20 years.
