Jayjom helps immigrants in Canada who wish to improve their careers and chances of getting the type of job they want. We do so by providing you with the guidance and personalized strategies needed to approach the job market, navigate the job system, and thrive in your workplace in Canada.
In 2015, I moved to the UK from Canada. While there, I found it difficult to land a job, even after submitting tons of CVs and sometimes landing interviews. I was frustrated, confused, and desperate because I needed money to pay my bills and although I stayed with a relative at the time, money was a major concern for me.
I didn’t want to start with low-income jobs or at the bare bottom, especially since I had a degree and some work experience in Canada. Something changed for me when I got connected with a community of people in the UK that took me by the hand and walked me through the process of getting a job as an immigrant in the UK. Because of their help, I was able to land a job in one of the top NGOs in the UK as a Business Analyst.
I started Jayjom as a result of my experience in the UK, purely to assist immigrants in Canada navigate the job system and job market in Canada and to guide them on the steps and strategies they need to get good jobs in their career or transition into another career.
I believe with the right help and information, immigrants can be properly guided and qualified to land good jobs in Canada without having to have worked for long years or even start from the bare bottom.
